Making a Drawing is a two-hour performance documented on video. Throughout the performance, I created circular movements on an indigo-dyed canvas using a custom-made mobile tool constructed from found objects. This tool, made by connecting a rubber caster wheel and a dowel, was initially designed as a walking aid but was repurposed to facilitate the drawing process. While the wheel guided the drawing, at times it took control of the movements. The performance concluded due to a shortage of ink, a mixture of water-based materials, and natural dye, as well as my physical fatigue. The act of turning around oneself creates an illusion of uncertainty and absurdity.
